THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT YOUR NEW TABLE
TENNIS TABLE.
We strive hard to produce the finest quality table tennis table
on the market.
We want your table to provide you with many years of enjoyment. Please
take a moment to read some information about your new table.
We produce two types of table tennis tables. An indoor version
and an
outdoor version. The most common is our indoor table. All of the indoor
tables are made with particle board for the playing surface and are painted
with waterbased paint. We do this to make our tables environmentally
friendly. The metal parts are powder coated and by using waterbased paint
we do not release pollutants into the environment.
What this means to the consumer is this:
Our indoor tables will not work in your garage or patio. You must have
your table in a climate controlled environment. Any humidity, moisture.
or
direct sunlight can damage the playing surface. Even if you put your table
in the garage with a cover, it will still be damaged. If you are planning
to
use or store your table in a garage or patio situation you must buy an
outdoor table tennis table.
Our outdoor tables are constructed with an aluminum skin around
the wood
tops. These tables are completely sealed from moisture and will work in
a
garage or patio. They are also suitable for outside use and can be left
in the
rain with no damage.
QUICKPLAY TABLE TENNIS TABLES
The Quickplay design was developed and patented by Escalade Sports
in 1997. This new and innovative design provides the consumer with a
table that is almost completely assembled at the factory. All it takes
is four
bolts and four wing nuts to assemble the caster rails and two adults to
place the tops on this assembly and you are ready to play!
COMMON QUESTIONS WITH THE QUICKPLAY TABLES
1. The distance between the pivot tubes is greater than the
distance
between the U-support attached to the table at the factory.
Why?
The caster rails are not facing each other. The pivot tubes
must face each
other. Each set of caster rails must have the silver brackets facing each
other. All of the Quickplay tables have the same dimensions. If your
spacing is wrong, please double check that the caster rails face the correct
direction.
2. One or both halves of my table seem to be warped or one half
is lower
in the middle.
Why?
This is normal. All table tops start out flat from our board
manufacturer.
A warped or uneven board will not go down our assembly line so if one
is found at our facility it is rejected. Because of the nature of this
product, it is packed and stored in the most efficient mannor possible.
During storage it is common for one of the tops to sag. This is not
permanent. When the table is not in use please put it in the storage
position. This will help bring the board back to its original shape.

3. The net included with my table is different than what was
pictured
on the store display or the box.
Why?
We at Escalade are constantly trying to provide the consumer
with the
best possible product for your money. In doing so we may make
changes to our current products before the new models arrive. In some
cases this happens faster than the stores or our carton manufactures can
react. If the net you received is different than what was on display, most
likely you have the latest version.
4. When installing the bottom board on the caster rail assemblies,
the
carriage bolts don't seem to fit correctly on the board. They have
a
square head and the holes are round.
Why is this?
This is done intentionally. The carriage bolt will "bite"
into the bottom
board as you tighten the wing nut. The board does not need a square
hole in it for this to work.
